I have been teaching at the University of Chicago since 2008 and previously taught at the Art Institute of Chicago. I am passionate about teaching Spanish, and in particular, the role that cultural context plays in second language acquisition. I have a Bachelor of Science from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and a Master’s Degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. I teach Spanish Language and Cultures for Social Workers, a course I developed for the School of Social Service Administration. When not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, and exploring Latin American restaurants in Chicago.
