I am originally from Conflans-Ste-Honorine, a suburb of Paris, and moved to Chicago in 2002. I’ve always been interested in traveling and studying languages. I hold a Licence de Lettres, langues et civilisations étrangères en anglais (BA in English literatures and civilizations) and a Maîtrise de FLE (Master in French as a Foreign Language) from Paris X-Nanterre, as well as a D.E.S.S. (Diploma of Specialized Advanced Graduate Studies) in teacher training from Paris III-La Sorbonne Nouvelle. I’ve been teaching French for over twenty years in Australia, Belgium, France, and in the US.  I have been a French lecturer here at UChicago since 2002 and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I am the main instructor for FREN 20300, but I also teach first and second-year courses. I am also the Advanced Language Proficiency examiner for French.
